Minneapolis Trade Women Conference 2019

 The primary goal of this conference is to offer women in the trades the skills, resources, and support to thrive in their career from beginning to retirement.

 This conference empowers women to achieve their ambitions through interactive activities that build trust and strengthen relationships with others in their field.

 The 25+ workshops offered during the 3 day conference are designed to bring together union apprentice, journey women, women in leadership, women ready to retire, share experiences, to learn and mentor.

 * Have you wanted to get more involved with issues that impact trade women but weren't sure where to start or how to do? Learn how to be part of the change you want to see.

 How Unions can Best Engage Millennials and Nurture their Energy

 * By 2020 millennials are expected to make up half of the workforce in America, given the generational gap between union leadership we must learn to speak each others language and bridge communication gaps.

 "Kick Ass Career, Kick Ass Life" 3 E's for Youth to Consider Trade Careers.

 * We know kids already know everything and keeping them interested in any topic can be a challenge. Learn how to give powerful presentations.

 LGBTQ+: Working & Supporting trans and gender diverse folks in the Building Trades

 * This workshop will address important issues facing the LGBTQ+ trades workers including proper pronoun use and why its important, how to be an ally, and how we can organize to make the changes we want to see. ~ Shirley Deckard
