Testimonials
Dear Valerie,
I wish to express my appreciation for all the hard work culminating in the 3rd annual Union Women’s dinner on Thursday, March 8, 2018. From the beautiful red carpet entrance to coffee and dessert, I was most impressed. Each year, the dinner grows bigger and better. I enjoyed the speakers, the dancers, the flowers, the printed material and the Union Women swag.
Perhaps what I enjoy most, is the opportunity to meet with other union women and share experiences. The opportunity to set aside the day to day bombardment of political activism and just talk to each other. We talk about our jobs, families, and life partners. I am usually asked about life with my Dad, and I appreciate the chance to portray Harry Bridges as a father and spouse.
Women in traditionally male dominated fields especially need an outlet where they can discuss their experiences in a supported environment. I firmly believe the Union Women’s dinner and Union Women in Solidarity is part of a supportive environment. Thank you, Valerie, for seizing the need and running with it. We are all better for it.
Yours Truly,
Kathy Bridges
