UNION WOMEN IN SOLIDARITY
Our Mission
Union Women in Solidarity is a global platform to bring women together. Our solidarity is what gives us the strength, support, credibility and power to make vital changes. In our history and also during these present times, Union jobs have always come with risk and the possibility of injury and women's issues are still at the forefront. The concerns of Union Labor have always included struggle and activism, with the ILWU (International Longshore and Warehouse Union), dating all the way back to 1934. Now, more than ever, we as women need to join together to uplift one another, build community and build long lasting friendships, locally, nationally and globally.
The 25+ workshops offered during the 3 day conference are designed to bring together union apprentice, journey women, women in leadership, women ready to retire, share experiences, to learn and mentor.
